Chan Eai Pae

Chan Eai Pae was born 1939 in Kap'yŏng County, Korea.  She studied at Sookmyung Girls’ High School and Ewha Womans Unversity in Seoul and immigrated to the United States in 1962 to study at Morris Harvey College in Charleston, West Virginia.  She later earned her M.F.A. in sculpture from Rutgers University.  She served as a docent at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University for many years.  She is married to Kook Dong Pae, another narrator, and has three children and one grandchild.  She now resides in Orlando, Florida.
